Who We Are
Simon Easthope has been tying flies for over 30 Years, in the early years he was introduced to an innovative vice called the Norvice that was being distributed via Gordon Griffiths.
Simon began to use this vice for the majority of his flies and as he continued to experiment, new techniques were discovered.
Simon believes that the vice he ties his flies on gives him the edge. In the short video coming soon to the site, he explains how a simple Diawl Bach pattern used extensively on the reservoir scene can be improved in its resistance, appearance and durability using this vice.

What sets us apart?
The Wholesale fly market has become very predictable. This is no bad thing in principle, after all, popular flies that work are exactly what anglers want.
The issue that we find is that most fly retailers in the UK are not producers, the stock they purchase is openly from abroad where labour costs are cheaper.
This is even the case where companies develop their own designs. as those designs are then taken out of the country to be mass produced.
The first problem this produces is that companies that sell flies are not flexible to the needs of the angler. As anglers we find ourselves making a compromise between what we want and what is available.
Price has become the field that most fly suppliers choose to do battle on. but the question has to be asked as to the detriment of this!
At Easthope flies we believe in choice. and we realise that there is a market for cheaper generic flies that are manufactured on a budget and sold on mass
We also believe, at the other end of the scale that there is a market for Individual flies, made to exact specifications, with quality being the driving force. including the type of materials. techniques, grade of materials and being sympathetic to original designs.
we are not an express delivery service; we deliver our own quality flies as quickly as we possibly can.
